GARCIA, Ostillia

Ostillia Baca Garcia, 68, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, in Flagstaff. She was born Dec. 7, 1934, to Inez and Juan G. Baca in Reserve, N.M. "Osty" enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and daughter. She was a special part of the family and will be dearly missed. Mrs. Garcia loved her job, where she worked for 22 years as a distribution clerk for Flagstaff Medical Center. She also would take in strangers and provide them with a hot meal and a place to stay. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Frank Garcia; daughter Inez (Martin) Rivera; sisters Velma Garcia, Francis Solas and Annie Florez, all of Lakeside, Sadie Carrillo of Flagstaff and Arlene Rojas; brothers Tony Baca of Winslow, Danny Baca of Phoenix, Pat Baca of Camp Verde, Leroy Baca of Superior, and Billy Baca of Lakeside; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her father, a son, a grandson and two sisters. Rosary will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She will be buried in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Norvel Owens Mortuary.
