ISLAS, Paul Ignacio

Arizona Daily Sun Flagstaff, Arizona Thursday, July 25, 2002 Paul Ignacio Islas, 25, of Flagstaff, died Sunday, July 21, 2002. He was born June 6, 1977, in Albuquerque, N.M. He moved to Flagstaff with his family at a young age. He is survived by his father Thomas Islas, of Albuquerque; mother Inez Rivera and stepfather Martin A. Rivera Sr., both of Flagstaff; sister Joyce Ann Islas of Flagstaff; brothers Martin A., Frankie J. and Adrian Ray River, all of Flagstaff; grandparents Frank C. and Ostillia B. Garcia of Flagstaff; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents Mariano C. Islas and Carrie W. Islas, aunts Martha Talavera and Sally Sasser. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Pius X Center. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday also at St. Pius X Center. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Norvel Owens Mortuary of Flagstaff.
