Bakersfield (CA) Californian Thursday, July 19, 1962, p 39 Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10am in the Memorial Chapel at Greenlawn Mortuary for Orville Glenn Sr, 78, of 717 Brown St., who died July 17 in Bakersfield. Rev Carl M Purdy of the Calvary Baptist Church will officiate, with interment to follow in the Garden of Roses Section of Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr Glenn was a native of Arizona, and had resided in California and Kern County for 50 years. Mr Glenn was employed by the U.S. Government as a contract mail carrier for 24 years. Survivors include his widow, Ann Etta; a son, Orville Glenn Jr of Bakersfield; a daughter, Freda M Butler of Fresno; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
