Verde Independent,Cottonwood, Arizona Wednesday, June 15, 2005 Richard G. Martinez Richard Gilbert Martinez, 43, of Clarkdale, died June 10, 2005. He was born Aug. 21, 1961, in Cottonwood, the son of John C. and Vera Martinez. Richard was a graduate of Mingus Union High. He worked in construction until he suffered a severe head injury in an accident in 1981. His interests included hunting, baseball and football. He leaves a son, Christopher Martinez Moore; a daughter, Amy Juanita Martinez Kubrock; his mother, Vera Martinez; brothers, Jon Anthony Martinez and Art John Martinez; a sister, Suzy Martinez Amos; and two grandchildren. A visitation will be Thursday, June 16, in the Westcott Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be June 17 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery.
