HILL, Jack Arthur


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 19, 2006, p. B6 Jack Arthur Hill passed away on July 12 in Sun City West. He was born October 15, 1918 in Ft. Bridger, Wyo., to John Chester Hill and Alice Flora (Butcher) Hill. He was their only child. Jack was raised in Wyoming and graduated from Mountain View High School. He married Ethel Louise Pantle Oct. 21, 1939 in Kimball, Neb., nearly 68 years ago. They made their home wherever work took them. Jack worked as a trucker and in the construction industry. Jack served his country in the Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1946. His love for gold mining kept him active after retirement. He was a member of the Roadrunner Prospecting Club and he was also active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Wittmann and the Wise Owl Senior Centers. Visiting with his friends over a cup of coffee was a highlight of his day. Jack and Ethel lived in Morristown for 22 years, and after selling their home, they settled in Wickenburg calling it home for the past six years. Survivors include his wife Ethel and numerous cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
