The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona March 13, 2004 Loraine Slade Thorpe, 62, passed away after a lengthy illness on March 11, 2004 in Mesa, AZ. Loraine was born October 21, 1941 in Durango, Colorado. She was a Special Education Teacher. Service to others was her Hallmark in life. She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Lovetta SLADE and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Wayne, sons; Gary (Roxanne), David (Marci), Mark (Kate), Thomas, Michael, her daughter, Katijean, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, and 10 grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. A family reception will be held Sunday, March 14 Greenfield Stake Center, 2740 S. Lindsay Rd., Gilbert, AZ. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 15, also at the Greenfield Stake Center, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Springville City Cemetery, Springville, Utah. Arrangements were made by Bunker's University Chapel.
