BIGELOW, Milford (Mel) Franklin

The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona 11/06/2007 Milford (Mel) Franklin Bigelow, 55, died at his home in Springerville Oct. 6, 2007. He was born April 24, 1952, in Springerville to Milford Bigelow and Patricia Sharp. Milford was a construction worker and attending Northland Pioneer College while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. He was also working part-time at NPC. Milford was an avid sportsman. He loved fishing and enjoyed the mountains. He was very devoted to his family. He served in the Marine Corps 1968-1971. Milford is survived by his son, Milford F. Bigelow II of Springerville; mother Patricia Sharp of Springerville; brother Jeff LaRue of Eagar; sisters Cindy Chavez of Idaho, Saphrona Hetrick of Eagar and Penni Goodman of South Africa; and Joel LaRue of Springerville. Milford was preceded in death by his father, Milford Bigelow; brother Clifford Bigelow; sister Patricia Bigelow; granddaughter Kortney Bigelow; grandparents Joseph and Dorthella Bigelow and Marion and Bessie Maxwell. Funeral services for Milford were held Friday, Oct. 12, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Springerville Chapel. Interment followed at the Eagar Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
