Richard Harding Davis, who lived in Prescott, Ariz., from 1989 to 2008, passed away in Charlotte, N.C., on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009.
He was born in 1929 in Oklahoma City, and moved to Southern California in 1951, where he worked in radio, then as a teacher of English and history in the public schools, then as an associate research professor of gerontology and telecommunications at the University of Southern California.
In Prescott, he was active as an art docent, bridge player, member of the Romeo discussion group, and friend to many.
He is survived by his son, David Christopher, of Charlotte, N.C.
