COSAY, Wilbert (Shadow Boy)

The White Mountain Independent Show Low, AZ 02/29/2008 Wilbert "Shadow Boy" Cosay went home to be with the Lord Feb. 20, 2008, at the Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. He was born Aug. 10, 1976, in Whiteriver. Wilbert is survived by his father, Wilbur Cosay; mother Lorraine Cosay; brother Wilburson Cosay; sister Lorna Cosay; nieces Chelsey Raine Cosay, and Thea Sunny June Cosay; grandpa Kennedy Gordon; aunts Evangeline Gordon, Beverly Hanna, Valerie Standing, Rachel Palizote, Verna Cheney, Villa Whittaker and Diana Loas; uncles Kenneth Gordon, Elmo Gordon, Ricardo Palmer, Edmund Cosay, Floyd Cosay, Jarvis Cosay, Arson Cosay and Leroy Cosay; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Bessie Cosay, and maternal grandmother, Ida Gordon. A two-night wake started Thursday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. at Wilbur and Lorraine Cosay's residence in Canyon Day. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, at 1 p.m. at the Canyon Day Miracle Church in Canyon Day with Pastor Reno Johnson Sr. officiating. Interment will be at Canyon Day Cemetery in Canyon Day. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
