DECLAY, Virginia

The White Mountain Independent Show Low, AZ 07/18/2008 Virginia Declay went home to be with the Lord July 13, 2008, at Summit Healthcare in Show Low. She was born April 1, 1923, in Carrizo. Virginia is survived by her children, Arnold Declay, Andrew (Veronica) Declay, Odell (Effie) Declay, Alexander (Sandra) Declay and Delbert (Shirley) Declay; grandson Bryant Cosen; god-daughter Danielle Polly Cosay; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Declay, and a daughter, Olinda Declay. Virginia's body was brought back to her residence (3622 Turkey Creek Road) in East Fork for a two-night wake that started Thursday, July 17. A home service will be held Saturday, July 19, at 1 p.m. at the family residence in East Fork with Pastor Reno Johnson Sr. officiating. Interment will be at the Canyon Day Cemetery.
