JOHNSON, Rafeal Jose (Poncho)

The White Mountain Independent Show Low, AZ 09/05/2008 Rafeal Jose (Poncho) Johnson went home to be with the Lord Aug. 27, 2008, in Whiteriver. He was born May 14, 1985, in Whiteriver. He graduated from Alchesay High School in 2003. Rafeal is survived by his parents, Reno Johnson Jr. and Bernadean Johnson; mother Rebecca Antonio; brothers Antonio "Roy" James; stepbrothers Emilio Wright, Antwon Wright and Tyrese Wright; sisters Rena Joy Antonio, Raysha Shanae Johnson, Raekale June Johnson and Robyn Johnson; stepsister Wiladean Wright; grandmother Rita Johnson, Ingrid Palmer and Nellie Cosay; grandfathers Reno Johnson Sr. and Durango Palmer; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert D. Johnson of Benson; grandmothers June Johnson and Edith Antonio; and grandfathers Reno Johnson Sr. and Douglas Antonio. A two-night wake will be held at Reno Johnson Sr.'s residence in Canyon Day starting Thursday, Sept. 4, at 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 10 a.m. at the Canyon Day Miracle Church in Canyon Day. Interment will be at Canyon Day Cemetery. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
