THORNE, John Niblack

John Niblack Thorne, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday, December 13, 2000, with his family by his side after a long and valiant fight with cancer. John was a life long resident of Arizona. He had many varied interests, but his favorites were farming and music. He was happiest either behind the wheel of his John Deere Tractor or making music with his drums. He also took great joy in being able to fix just about anything. Many thanks to his friends and family for all their support, and a special heartfelt thanks to Hospice of the Valley, especiallly Jackie Beals "Our Guardian Angel". Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; stepdaughter, Kelly Rodriguez and her husband, Louis; grandsons: Austin, Taylor and Louis; stepson, Kevin Scheerle; brother, Jim Thorne and his wife, Carol; niece, Alex; aunts: Annette Noren, Lucille Gaetje and Bertha Hayworth, who all contributed to an important part of John's life; stepmother, Suzanne Thorne; and Matt and Dave Woods and their families.
