Arizona State Miner, Wickenburg Saturday, March 7, 1925, p 1 c 2 Daniel Holcomb Daniel Holcomb died at St Mary's hospital, Gallup, Sunday, February 22 at 8:30 o'clock. Burial was held at Gallup Tuesday, February 24. He was 64 years of age. Mr Holcomb came to Arizona in 1885 with the first drive of cattle into the territory by the Hashknife outfit in that year, for whom he was a rider and for whom he rode the range for many years. As far as can be learned, Mr Holcomb had no living relatives, and had never married. He made his home of late years on the Phoenix-Park ranch south of Holbrook.
