The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 10, 2004, p. B9 Alex Wilson Snyder, age 85, of Wickenburg, died February 4, 2004, in Peoria, Ariz. Alex was born February 28, 1918, in Olathe, Colo. to John and Gertrude (Abraham) Snyder. Alex served our country during World War II as a Major in the United States Air Force. He retired as a pilot for commercial airlines. Alex is survived by his wife, Betty of Wickenburg; children Pamela, Diane, Gail, Mary Kay and John; a brother Robert Snyder, and a sister Hazel Sheets and 11 grandchildren. Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Alex's name be directed to The Hospice Family Care Foundation, 1550 S. Alma School, Suite 102, Mesa, AZ 85210. The Hampton Funeral Home of Prescott, Ariz. assisted the family with the arrangements.
