Richard H. "Dick" Miner of Wickenburg passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2004, in Charleston, W.Va.
Dick was born Dec. 4, 1922 in Kenosha, Wis., and served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Boyle during World War II. He worked as a lineman and supervisor with Michigan Bell and AT&T, retiring in 1978.
Dick was a gentleman farmer and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in northern Michigan.
He was a member of the VFW, BPOE, Masons and Shriners.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Ruth of Wickenburg, his daughter Kay and her husband Gary Burnham of Mesa, Ariz., and West Salem, Wisc.; his son John Miner and wife Anna of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, Sept. 29 at Langeland Family Funeral Home in Kalamazoo, Mich. Interment was at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Three Oaks, Mich.
