West Valley View, March 4, 2005 Wanda Caratachea, 73, of Buckeye died Feb. 28, 2005. Mrs. Caratachea was born Oct. 5,, 1931, in Hedley, Texas. She worked for 23 years at Buckeye Elementary School before she retired. Mrs. Caratachea was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Caratachea. She is survived by one daughter, Della Hughes of Buckeye; six sons, Jack, Tim and Steve of Buckeye, Randy of Poqouson, VA, Bob of Tempe and Tom of Litchfield Park; one sister, Charolette Minard of Phoenix; one brother, James "Bud" Ray of Phoenix; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Southern Baptist Church, 405 N. Third St. in Buckeye. The Rev. Charlie Clayborn will officate. Buckeye Funeral Home made arrangements.
