MARTIN, III, Clifford Charles

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona August 6, 2005 Clifford Charles Martin III was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico, on August 29, 1945, and died in Scottsdale, Arizona, on July 26, 2005. He grew up in Morenci, Arizona, and was a graduate of Arizona State University. Cliff played baseball at ASU and was a member of the 1967 College World Series Championship team. After graduation he coached baseball and football in Morenci, winning a state football championship in 1976. Martin went on to coach and teach at Paradise Valley High School and served as athletic director at PVHS. He is survived by his wife, Ree, and daughters Sunny and Codi MARTIN. Private family services will be held in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Jr. and Julia and his sister Jackie MARTIN.
