CASSEDY, John Clayton (Jack)


The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ December 20, 2004, p. A12 John Clayton Cassedy, "Jack" to all who knew him, passed away Dec. 21 in Phoenix from complications following heart surgery. Jack was born in San Francisco on May 18, 1930. He grew up in San Jose, attending St. Joseph's Elementary School, Lincoln High School (1948) and San Jose State (1953). Jack served in the United States Air Force and continued in the Reserves while he pursued his career as a commercial airline pilot. Jack retired from Northwest Airlines in 1990. He has resided in Arizona with his wife Barbara for the past 20 years, living in Scottsdale and the past three years in Wickenburg. Jack enjoyed running, gardening and animals, especially their dogs Bo and Jake. Jack always had a hearty laugh and a repertoire of wonderful stories. He graced all of us with his warm spirit and enthusiastic love of life. Jack was a docent at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, which he thoroughly loved. He is survived by his wife Barbara; mother Maryon; daughters Shannon, Sherry, Colleen and Kelly; and five grandchildren, all of California. Services will be held in Palo Alto, Calif. Frey Funeral Home in Wickenburg made all the arrangements.
