JEDDITO, Ariz. — Graveside services for Elouise Nez, 56, were 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 4 at Jeddito Community Cemetery. Father Clay officiated. Nez died May 27 in Holbrook, Ariz. She was born Jan. 15, 1948 in Winslow, Ariz. into the Big Water People Clan for the Honey Combed Rock People Clan. Nez was a homemaker. Her hobbies included cooking, reading, and crossword puzzles. Survivors include her husband, Darniel Yellowhair; son, Anthony David; daughter, Jamie Nez; sisters, Marie Smiley, Verna Kinlicheenie and Grace Crank; and one grandchild. Nez was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Nez; parents, Edith and Franklin Yazzie; and sister, Rena David. Pallbearers were Eugene Smiley, Lloyd Smiley, Curtis Shay Sr., Anthony David, Daniel Yellowhair and Ray Thomas. Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
