KEAMS CANYON — Funeral services for Robert John Wartz,54, will be held at 10 a.m. (D.S.T),Wednesday, Sept.12 at the Keams Canyon St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Clay will officiate. Burial will be in Jeddito Community Cemetery. Wartz died Sept. 8, 2007 in Low Mountain, AZ. He was born July 4, 1953 in Keams Canyon, AZ. He was born into the Saline Water People for Salt People. He attended Smoke Signal School, Many Farms High School, Intermountain Indian School, Roswell Technical School, and Crownpoint Institute of Technology. Wartz was a railroad worker as well as, a rancher and silversmith. Survivors include his wife, Laura Wartz; sons, Randy Wartz, Kenny S. Wartz, and Robryan Wartz; parent, Tully Wartz; brothers, Albert Wartz, Thompson Wartz, Andrew Wartz, and Ken Wartz; sisters, Rose W. Tso, and Rena W. Begay; and 5 grandchildren Wartz was preceded in death by his mother Louise Wartz and grandmother Sadie Tom. Pallbearers will be Billy Y. Nez, Al Wartz, Thompson Wartz, Ken Wartz, Randy Wartz, and Kenny S. Wartz. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wartz's residences in Whippoorwill after services. Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
