YAZZIE, Jonathan Lane

The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona 08/10/2004 Jonathan Lane Yazzie, 27, of Whiteriver entered into rest, Wednesday, July 28, 2004. Jonathan was born March 16, 1977 in Phoenix. He was a fire fighter for many years and became a Fort Apache Hotshot. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, skiing and snow boarding. Jonathan was survived by his parents Ann and Dawsee Skidmore; father, Felix Fred Yazzie; daughters Angel Bryce Yazzie, Summer K. Yazzie; god-parents Art Walker, Annette Thompson and many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas and grandpas. A wake was held Monday, Aug. 2 at his residence in Yucca Flats. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 3 at the Canyon Day Lutheran Church in Canyon Day, with Pastor Hamn officiating, with burial at Cooley Mountain Cemetery, Hon-Dah. Funeral arrangements were by Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary in Whiteriver.
