Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Thursday, July 30, 2009 Michael A. Broom, 52, formerly of Flagstaff, died Monday, July 20, in the Arizona State Prison in Kingman. Broom was born to Matthew and Imajean Broom on Dec. 27, 1956, in Phoenix. He attended several elementary schools and South Mountain High School in Phoenix. He met his wife, Dora, in 1972 and they moved to Flagstaff in 1985. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, sons Joseph Gallardo and Anthony Broom, daughters Sandy Gurry and Felicia Mendez and several grandchildren. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters. Services will be held on Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. at the South Phoenix Missionary Baptist Church.
