West Valley View March 15, 2005 Helen S. Jordan, 86, of Litchfield Park died March 4, 2005, in Phoenix. Mrs. Jordan was born March 21, 1918, in Bellaire, Ohio. She graduated from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, and worked for Ohio Bell and the Western Reserve Telephone Company before she moved to Arizona and worked as a supervisor for the state Department of Public Welfare. Mrs. Jordan was an active member of Eastern Star. She was secretary and a board member of Litchfield Park's library guild and library association, and for several years was associate editor of the library newsletter. She also was a longtime member of The Church at Litchfield Park, where she assisted with the church newsletter and was active in a Bible study group. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert L. Jordan. She is survived by one daughter, Constance Ransberger; two sons, Robert Jordan Jr. and Richard Jordan; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A private service was held March 10.
