The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ June 16, 1944 Mrs. Dowdy Passed Away Here; Funeral in Prescott Funeral services for Mrs. Mary F. Dowdy, who died in Wickenburg Sunday, were held in Prescott Wednesday afternoon at the Lester Ruffner Funeral Home. Rev. Charles F. Parker officiated at the services. Mrs. Dowdy, who was 74 years old, was a native of Houston, Texas. She lived in Prescott for many years before moving to Congress about 15 years ago. She is survived by three sons and three daughters: Albert Pruitt, a son by a former marriage, who lives in Kingman; Max Dowdy and Pauline Dowdy also of Kingman; Roy Dowdy, of Flagstaff; Mrs. Fred speck, of Phoenix, and Mrs. Jack Sinus of Wickenburg. There are 17 grandchildren.
