SWANN, Jennie

West Valley View, November 2, 2004 Jennie Swann, 74, of Litchfield Park died Oct. 29, 2004, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Mrs. Swann was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Whitehouse, Texas. She moved to Arizona in 1967 and taught for 22 years at Luke Elementary School. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, and an active member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale and Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. Mrs. Swann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Swann Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Reynolds of Peoria and May Ann Holtzen of Scottsdale; one son, Robert P. Swann Jr. of Tacoma, Wash.; two brothers, Bob and Joe Hagan of Whitehouse, Texas; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale, 1001 N. Central Ave. A service will follow at 7 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale, 1001 N. Central Ave., Avondale AZ 85323.
