Ysamel M. Talavera, 80, of Avondale died Nov. 30, 2004.

Mr. Talavera was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Agua Dia, Puerto Rico. He moved with his parents to Avondale when he was 3 years old.

Mr. Talavera is survived by his wife, Emilia; seven daughters, Mary, Gloria, Louisa, Marta, Linda, Henrietta and Yolanda; seven sons, Tony, Phillip, Jesse, Ysamel, Benny, Henry and Tommy; 48 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 3 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Goodyear. Interment was at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.
