West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona December 8, 2004 Rose R. Contreras, 75, of Avondale died Dec. 5, 2004. Mrs. Contreras was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Stockton, Calif. She later married Ernesto Contreras, with whom she had six children. The family moved to Avondale in 1963, and she later worked as a greeter for Wal-Mart. Mrs. Contreras was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto. She is survived by two daughters, Lupe Mascarenas and Marina Salazar, both of Avondale; four sons, Ernest Jr., Eugene, Joaquin and Christopher Contreras, all of Avondale; two sisters, Aurora Espinoza and Mary Rangel, both of Stockton, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road in Goodyear. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, also at Valley West Funeral Chapel. Valley West Funeral Chapel made the arrangements.
