West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona December 23, 2005 Lawrence G. Peterson, 73, of Avondale died Dec. 11, 2005. Mr. Peterson was born Aug. 10, 1932, in Baker, Mont. He served in the Army as a communications non-commissioned officer during the Korean War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Mr. Peterson later worked in Montana in various capacities for the Mountain Bell telephone company from 1954 until his retirement in 1985. He and his wife of 50 years, Marlene, moved to Avondale in 2001. Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Marlene; one daughter, Catherine Haas of Avondale; three sons, Steve Peterson of Wisconsin, Doug Peterson of Montana and Greg Peterson of Litchfield Park; two sisters, Janette Roberts and Helen Hetland; one brother, William Peterson; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A service will be held in Montana. Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel in Goodyear made the local arrangements
