Black's Mortuary, Show Low, Arizona Dorothy Palmer, 60, of Whiteriver, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at Whiteriver PHS Indian Hospital. Mrs. Palmer was born Aug. 7, 1945, at Carrizo. She was raised in the White Mountains, and attended Teddy Roosevelt School in Whiteriver and also attended school at Show Low and Springerville. She was married to Gilbert Palmer Feb. 5, 1995, in Whiteriver. She was a homemaker and mother, and worked at the Whiteriver hospital. She enjoyed bead work and doing puzzles. She was of the Assembly of God faith. Her survivors include her husband, Gilbert; four daughters, Arlene Manuel, Elgina Alchesay, Sharon Polk and Marshayeah Way, all of Whiteriver; three sons, Anthony Leslie of Whiteriver, Eugene (Sue) Leslie of Cedar Creek and Darin Polk of Whiteriver; four sisters, Ramona Martinez, Theresa Lupe, Elvira Standing and Dudra Pinal all of Whiteriver, three brothers, Van Manuel of Carizzo, Marvin Kessay of Cibecue and Rex Pinal, Sr. of Whiteriver; 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A wake will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at the Arlene Manuel residence in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 8, at Canyon Day Miracle Church.
