Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 27, 1953 FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD SUNDAY AFTERNOON FOR PAT PURDY 31, WHOSE DEATH OCCURRED MARCH 20 Funeral services were held here last Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock for Pat Purdy, age 31, son of Mr & Mrs Alvin Purdy of Wickenburg, whose death occurred March 20 in Phoenix where he had been residing for some time. The young man had spent most of his life here. He entered the service during World War II from this community and served in the Armed Forces for more than five years. Rev Billie Pate of the First Baptist Church officiated at funeral services at Wickenburg Chapel and the local post of the American Legion conducted graveside ceremonies at the cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Hartman, B. A. Wilmoth, J. F. Dery, E.G. Savage, William White and William Swinney.
