Maria Quezada, 83, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born Aug. 6, 1926, in Illinois, passed away Nov. 9, 2009, in Prescott Valley.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Final farewell and commendation will be at 2 p.m. at the Arizona Pioneers Home Cemetery in Prescott.
Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.

Maria De La Luz Quezada, 83, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, 2009, with family by her side. She was born in Springfield, Ill., and has been residing in Prescott Valley since July 2009. She was born Aug. 6, 1926, the daughter of Isabel Nava and Francisco Herrera. She married Efraim Quezada Nov. 18, 1950, in Brown City, Mich.
She attended Nogales Bible School in Nogales, Ariz., for four years and served as a pastor's wife for over 45 years, always sharing the Gospel with whomever she met.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Efraim Quezada; her children, Eva Quezada, David Quezada and Esther Ford; her grandchildren, Maria Ford, Tina Moore, Nathan Ford (Jasmine), Katie Quezada and Molly Quezada; her great-grandchildren, Elliana Carrera, Quincy Angel Moore, and Bela Ford; and her siblings, Minnie Villalpando, Dora Martin, Johnny Herrera, Marcie Chacon, Joseph Carranza, and Frances.
She was predeceased by her eldest son, Efraim Stephen Quezada, on Dec. 18, 2001.
Mrs. Quezada will be buried in a graveside service at Pioneer Cemetery, Prescott, Ariz., 2 p.m. Nov. 12, 2009.
