YUNGKANS, Nancy Carol

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, January 6, 2006, Nancy Carol Yungkans, 68, of Goodyear died Dec. 31, 2005. Mrs. Yungkans was born Oct. 11, 1937, in Detroit. An Arizona resident since 1978, she was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Phoenix and the Glendale Women of the Moose Chapter 1642. Mrs. Yungkans is survived by her husband, James R. “Spanky” Yungkans; three daughters, Roberta R. Walker of Phoenix, Nancy J. Rodriguez of Goodyear and Kathleen Yungkans of New River; two sons, James D. Yungkans of Queen Creek and Gary L. Yungkans of Phoenix; one sister, Carol Jo Howdyshell of Michigan; one brother, Thomas Ross of Michigan; and 14 grandchildren. A service will be held at 1 p.m. today at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 6301 W. Indian School Road in Phoenix. Interment will be at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Park in Buckeye. Menke Funeral Home in Sun City made the arrangements.
