The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, November 14, 2009 Funeral services for Anthony Joseph "A.J." Groom, 54, of Caulfield, Mo., formerly of Prescott, Ariz., will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Groom died 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 9, 1955, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Michael and Emma Moschkau Groom. On Aug. 4, 1984, he was married in Prescott to Carla Ann Rastello. Mr. Groom was a registered nurse, having been employed with Riverways Home Health Care and, prior to moving to Missouri, worked at Cedars Cardiovascular in Prescott. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid hunter. He is survived by his wife, Carla Groom; three children, Christopher Groom of Prescott, Ariz., Michael Groom of West Plains and Hillary Groom of Prescott; one grandchild, Kirsten Smith; his parents, Michael and Emma Groom of West Plains; three brothers, Thomas Groom and wife Lee of West Plains; Kenneth Groom and wife, Melissa of Phoenix, Ariz.; and James Groom of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. His grandparents and one brother, Michael Groom, precede him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverways Hospice and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
