MURRAY, George James, Sr.

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, October 18, 2006 George James Murray $r., age 80, a life-long resident of Arizona, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Mountain View Manor. Mr. Murray was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Jerome, Ariz., to James Blaine and Delia Murray. Mr. Murray was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, in October of 2005, and his son, Dennis, this past July. He is survived by sons Ron of Washington and George Jr. of Mayer; grandchildren Jennifer and Sherri Murray of Tucson, Rachel and her husband Scott Reed of Casa Grande, and Amber, Shelli and Wesley of Chandler; three great-grandchildren; sister Phyllis Breeze of Humboldt; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life and Gathering of Friends will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, from noon to 6 p.m. at the American Legion Post #78 in Humboldt. The Hampton Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
