FUNERAL RITES WERE HELD IN WEATHERFORD, TEXAS FOR FATHER OF DELLA DEAN WHO DIED EASTER NIGHT
Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church at Weatherford, Texas, April 15 for S. Claud Dean, 67, father of Della Dean, who was fatally injured in an automobile accident Easter Sunday evening. Miss Dean and Fannye Kingston, her partner in Dean-Kingston's store here, attended the services.
CAR HITS UNDERPASS
Mr. Dean had driven his son, Douglas, from their home in Weatherford to Ft. Hood after the son's Easter furlough from the Army. The son's wife accompanied them. On the way back home, they hit an underpass. Mr Dean lived only two hours. His daughter-in-law suffered lacerations, bruises and shock but has now been released from the hospital.
NINE CHILDREN SURVIVE
Survivors include the widow, who lives in Weatherford, and nine children: Mrs. Nora May, Weatherford; Della Dean, Wickenburg; Mrs. Duncan Kingston, Valmorhea, Texas; Mrs Cecil Lewis, Creson, Texas; Mrs Bobby Baker, Robert Lee, Tex.; Mrs. Hodges Escue, Ft. Bragg, N. C.; Jeff Dean, Robert Lee, Texas; Edmond Dean, Pecos, Texas; and Douglas Dean, Fort Hood.
