KENNEDY, D. George (Rev.)

Rev. D. George Kennedy (O. Carm), 83, of Phoenix Arizona, died December 14, 2000. Father Kennedy was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 17, 1917. 

He professed his vows as a Christian Brother in 1935 and taught high school for many years. He served as principal and provincial as a Christian Brother and then was ordained a Carmelite priest in 1978. As a Carmelite priest, He served in the United States and in Lima, Peru. Fr. Kennedy retired to Phoenix in 1999. Published in The Arizona Republic  December 17, 2000
