December 31, 1954 p. 1 Mrs. Esther Martin, Former Resident, Is Summoned In Phoenix A number of her old friends from Wickenburg attended funeral services in Phoenix Tuesday for Mrs. Esther M. MARTIN who died in St Joseph's Hospital in that city Friday night, December 24. Mrs. Martin and her husband, Y. M. (Zeke) MARTIN, lived in this community for many years before moving to Phoenix in 1940. The Martins came to Wickenburg about 1928 from Forepaugh where they had lived a number of years on the ranch owned by Mrs. Martin's uncle, George CAMPBELL. Mr. Martin was manager of what is now the Foxworth-Galbraith Lumber Co. here. At that time it was owned by the Brayton Commercial Co. Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth LOWRY and Mrs. Marilyn PRICE, both of Phoenix, and a son, Robert E. MARTIN of Bagdad. Also seven grandchildren. Floyd H. WACHTER of Wickenburg, served as one of the pallbearers at the funeral Tuesday which was held from the Arizona Funeral Home with burial in Memory Lawn Memorial Park.
