EWING, Elizabeth S. (Betty)

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, January 1, 2003 Elizabeth S. (Betty) Ewing, 83, of Scottsdale passed way on December 30, 2002 in Scottsdale. Mrs Ewing was born on January 21, 1919 in Claypool, AZ. Betty graduated from the University of Arizona with a teaching degree. She taught grade school in Oregon and Idaho. She also worked for several years as a flight attendant and flight attendant instructor for American Airlines. In her later years she volunteered with the Sky Harbor Auxillary and was a member of the KIWIS. She is survived by her children, Don and his wife, Sharon, Beth and her husband, Gary and her son, Brian. Services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Family Mortuary, 6812 E. Thomas Rd. Scottsdale. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix.
