WOLFE, Philip Donald (Don), Jr.


A memorial service for Philip Donald ''Don'' Wolfe Jr., a longtime machinist for Williams Control Co. who was acting president of United Auto Workers Local 492, will be Saturday, October 19, 1991, in the Westside Church of Christ in Beaverton, Oregon. Mr. Wolfe died of a heart attack Sunday in his home at the age of 50. He was born July 4, 1941, in Parkersburg, W.Va. He moved to Arizona as a teen-ager and attended Phoenix Union High School. He moved to Oregon in 1967 and married Mary Jo Ann Ely on Jan. 20, 1968. Mr. Wolfe had worked for Williams Control since 1973. At the time of his death, he was acting president of UAW Local 492. He had been active in the Boy Scouts for more than 10 years and was a member of the Westside Church of Christ. Survivors besides his wife include his sons, Charles Thurman of Germany, Robert Thurman of Aloha and Philip III of Federal Way, Wash.; daughters, Margaret Thurman, Elizabeth Perry and Julie Carlile, all of Beaverton; mother, Gweneth Wolfe of Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Oregon. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Westside Church of Christ. October 16, 1991
