CARIOTI, George

Services were conducted in Nevada for former Syracuse area resident George Carioti, 68, who died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1992, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Carioti lived in Syracuse and Phoenix before moving to Elko, Nev. He retired in 1986 as an operating engineer with Beirick Mining Co. in Elko and previously was employed with Carrier Corp. Mr. Carioti was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are a daughter, Josephine Carioti of Alaska; three sons, Gene of California, Victor of Alaska and Michael of Nevada; two brothers, James of Phoenix and John of Williamston, N.C.; two sisters, Josephine DeJohn of Syracuse and Ann Guerrini of Arizona; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
