COX, Bobbie Joe

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona March 23, 2007 Bobbie Joe Cox, 74, of Litchfield Park died March 18, 2007. Mr. Cox was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Mt. Zion, Iowa, to Mary and Robert Cox. He attended high school in Littlefield, Texas, where he played on the football team that won the 1949 state championship. Mr. Cox was a veteran of the Army, having served two years during the Korean War. He later was a deacon at First Christian Church in Arlington, Texas. Mr. Cox is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Cynthia Hannigan; one son, Bobby Lee; his mother, Mary; two sisters, Jeanette Hampton and Joyce Skaggs; two brothers, Jerry and John; and three grandsons. Service with military honors will be private. Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel in Goodyear made the arrangements.
