GOMEZ, Betty Jane (Betty Boop)

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona March 9, 2007 Betty Jane "Betty Boop" Tudgay-Gomez, 66, of Arlington died Feb. 28, 2007, in Goodyear. Mrs. Tudgay-Gomez was born Nov. 2, 1940, in Philadelphia to Josephine and Ralph. She grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Arizona in 1965, living in the Tolleson area. She relocated to Arlington in 1974, and worked as a bar manager and bartender at the Old Boondocks in Tonopah and at Desert Rose Bar & Café in Arlington. Mrs. Tudgay-Gomez is survived by four daughters, Melissa Balthes and Betty Jo Rhodes, both of Phoenix and Laura and Denise of Philadelphia; one son, Chucky of Philadelphia; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A service will be held at noon Saturday at Desert Rose Bar & Cafe, 18300 S. Old U.S. Highway 80 in Arlington. Ganley's Buckeye Funeral Home made the arrangements.
