FISCHER, James W.

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona February 13, 2007 James W. Fischer, 66, of Buckeye and Willcox, died Feb. 9, 2007, from surgical complications. Mr. Fischer was brought to Glendale at an early age by his parents, Harriet and Clyde Fischer. After graduating from Glendale High School, he served in the Navy. He later was employed by Bell Aerosystems Co., Motorola Inc. and Goodyear Aerospace Corp. He also was self-employed for a time. Mr. Fischer is survived by his wife, Kay; two daughters, Lucinda Walding and Patty Crumpler; one son, David; a number of stepchildren; three sisters, Barbara Drain, Margo Fischer and Susan Sporleder; two brothers, Richard and Jack; and six grandchildren. A service will be held at 5 p.m. today at Saguaro Ranch Park, Ramada 1, 9802 N. 59th Ave. in Glendale. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Arizona, 12740 N. Plaza del Rio Blvd., Peoria, AZ 85381. Menke Funeral Home in Sun City made the arrangements.
