POWELL, Elvin

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona January 19, 2007 Elvin Powell, 71, of Wittmann and formerly of Buckeye died Jan. 11, 2007. Mr. Powell was born Oct. 13, 1935, in Alma, Ill., to Edith and Henry Powell. He is survived by his wife, Velva Ruth; three daughters, Debbara Peterson, Karen Powell and Kathy Mayfield; one son, Kevin Powell; three sisters, Eva Ross, Ruby Neff and Viola Mathus; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A service was held Jan. 16, 2007, at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel in Goodyear. Interment was at Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery in Buckeye. Memorials can be sent in the name of Les Peterson Sr. to the American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016. Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel made the arrangements.
