Harry F. Ames, of Douglas, Az. passed away on December 31, 2002. 

Mr. Ames served on the City Council of Douglas for 18 years and had been serving on the Executive Board of the Arizona League of Cities and Towns since 1999. He was a past two-term president of the Arizona Historical Society and was instrumental in the build of the Marley Center Museum in Tempe, Az. 

A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Douglas, Az. at 2 p.m. on January 12, 2003.
