RUDY, Helen Adele

The Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Tuesday, November 17, 2009 Helene Rudy, age 91, died of cancer on Nov. 2, 2009, in Rimrock, Arizona. She was born in West Rutland, Vermont, on May 9, 1918, to Hippolyte and Pauline (Golas) Zaluski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Robert Rudy, her sisters Joan Coffey and Estelle Disher, her brothers Edward Zaluski and Alexander Zaluski. She is survived by her son, Clifford Robert Rudy (wife Michelle); her sister, Marie Miccio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Helene graduated from East High School, class of 1936, in Erie Pennsylvania. She studied nursing at the Cumberland Hospital School of Nursing in Brooklyn, New York, and received her degree in 1941. Helene moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1958 and worked as a private duty nurse. She retired to Rimrock in 1980 where she enjoyed the tranquility of rural living and pursued her interests in the arts and crafts. Cremation has taken place.
