Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ, Friday, August 9, 1940 FUNERAL HELD FOR JEFF 'DAD' TURNER Funeral services for Jeff A. (Dad) Turner, 78-year-old Wittman resident, who died Thursday morning after a brief illness at his home were held Saturday in Glendale with interment in the Glendale Memorial Park. Mr Turner was a native of Arkansas, born November 15, 1862. He came to Glendale in 1919, where he operated a confectionary store for a year. For the past 14 years he had operated a service station and cafe in Wittman. He also was postmaster there. He is survived by his wife, Eva Turner, two stepdaughters, Mrs Anna Russ of Phoenix and Mrs Bertha Grubb of California; a stepson, Walter Jackson, of Glendale and a great-granddaughter, Marie Turner of Wittman.
