West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona January 16, 2009 Samuel M. Uptegrove, 78, of Buckeye died Jan. 10, 2009. Mr. Uptegrove was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Silex, Mo. He moved his family to Arizona in 1962. He was a member of the Cotton Lane Community Church in Waddell and the Avondale Moose Lodge, where he achieved the status of Fellow. He is survived by one daughter, Cathy Roberts of England, Ark.; one son, Sam; nine grandchildren; and 30 great-grand children. His was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Cotton Lane Community Church, 6240 N. Cotton Lane in Waddell. Services will begin at 10. Interment will follow at Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery in Buckeye.
