HANSON, Marion Louise

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Tuesday, January 7, 2003 Marion Louise Hanson, 89, of Prescott, Az., died January 5, 2003. She was born March 7, 1913 in Montevideo, Minn. Marion Hanson received training as an oil painter from Dhimitri Zonia in the 1960's in St. Louis. She won awards for her Brush and Palette Knife Florals. Marion Hanson was a proud member of the Mountain Artists Guild in Prescott, Az. from 1975 until she received a honorary Lifetime Membership from the Guild last March 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiebert C. Hanson and her son, Douglas E. Hanson. She is survived by her son, Bruce Hanson and sister, Lee Shardlow. Services at 1:00 p.m.., on January 9, 2003 at American Luthern Church, 1085 Scott Dr., Prescott, Az., 86301.
