Gertrude B. Thayer, 90, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away December 27, 2002. She was born on April 29, 1912 in Cleveland, Ohio. 

She was a graduate of Pamona College and University of Washington School of Librarianship. Member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and First Baptist Church of Phoenix. 

Miss Thayer was Head Librarian for Maricopa County Library for 40 years, retiring in 1976. 

Graveside service, Friday, January 10, 11:30 a.m., at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix, Arizona.
